Brushcutter-Mower
Gilbert Canada have released their new GM Series of grader-mowers, brush cutter heads that attach to the side of a grader for roadside maintenance.This head is well suited to forestry and municipal roads. The patented concept cuts vegetation as opposed to mulching it.
This is a more productive operation with speeds four times faster than other application and 10 times lower operating costs. This allows the user to cover more mileage with the same or even less budget.
The GM-10 model has a cutting width of 8.5 ft (2.6 m) using five saw blades. It can cut stems up to 8 inch (20 cm) diameter at an average travel speed of 6 km per hour. Since the graders are often under-utilized, the head can be installed on most graders using the standard hydraulic and fixing points for easy fitment and removal. The power needs of the GM-10 are easily provided by the grader without affecting its performance.
The GM Series is available in various cutting sizes with several options. Fast and productive, this is the ideal solution for roadside maintenance.

Compact Planer
The new Gilbert 6 Roll Planer requires up to 50% less space than a conventional planer. The Compact Planer still utilises the successful Pull-Through technology like the other great Gilbert Planers.
The planer runs with a gap between each piece of wood, ensuring every piece of wood is dragged through independently, regardless of the space between each piece. Consequently, jams caused between 2 pieces of wood are avoided.

Infeed Tables
The Gilbert Infeed Table is powered by heavy dutydrive shafts and gear belts to ensure continuous low maintenance timber feed to the planer.
The two airbag controlled pineapples are specifically designed in a spherical form to ensure constant infeed without breaking the fibres in the wood. The bridge rolls are controlled by the same airbags.
The clever Gilbert infeed system means that wood does not have to accumulate before the pineapples but can be fed insingular format.
The Gilbert Infeed Table for planers has a high feed performance of up to 1200 meters per minute. It ensures a constant feed and can be retro-fitted on all planers.
